Where Interactive Books make a difference

Speakers: Paolo Albert, Paolo Giovine
Sponsors: Abu Dhabi Education Council

It is a well-known fact that Digital books can interact with the reader in many different ways. But in what way does this interaction add value, especially for children? Why PubCoder built a software service to easily create ebooks with interactivity inside? We will provide the answers through some case studies showcasing ebook-games, ebooks for children with special needs and most importantly ebooks for education. Pubcoder also built in a regional feature for fonts and page reading.

11 May – 19:15 – 21:00 – eZone (ADNEC Abu Dhabi, UAE)
Interactive books with ease

Speaker: Paolo Giovine

Writers, illustrators and publishers are invited to attend a workshop with PubCoder at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair to find out more about how to easily animate illustrated children’s stories. PubCoder will introduce ePub3 and digital publishing’s new environment, the basic concepts on how to approach a new project with PubCoder and some tips and tricks on how to easily enrich your stories with animations, interactions, sounds, video, read aloud etc. Then there will be a short networking break to find out more about fellow attendees and the final part of the open workshop will be an open Q&A-session.
